Beware of TV time changes for Monday (Feb. 9)

If you're getting ready to watch TV tonight (Monday, Feb. 9), don't depend on schedules that were compiled in advance.

The complication came when President Obama set a press conference for 8 p.m. ET. To catch it, the networks are doing some quick scrambling.

On a different note, please read my previous blog about the Richard Thomsen memorial service in Lansing, Mich. Meanwhile, here are the expected changes tonight:

-- Two 8 p.m. shows -- "Chuck" on NBC, "House" on Fox -- are bumped.

-- Two others are nudged back. ABC's "The Bachelor" will now go from 9-11 p.m., dumping "True Beauty"; CBS' "Big Bang Theory" will slide to 9:30 p.m., dumping "Worst Week."

I enjoyed your Thomsen tribute.  You always had a way of expressing a lot in a not-a-lot of space.  (Some who are more removed from Boarshead and the area, however, might have been a bit less aware of some of your [good] points-- like why "Grand Ledge" is an unlikely place for theater.)

I also appreciated your Frost/Nixon comments (Sue and I just saw the movie today).  Your personal connection and insights were worth my internet fees for the week.  (Yet most won't know why [or for who] you interviewed him in '88.)

Establishing yourself more as an authoritative voice (with anecdotes of your unique experiences) will make us want to seek you out more in the blog sea.  You can reveal facinating insights (in such a clever manner.  It won't make you seem self-indulgent-- it will only add to your individual appeal.  If you need self-indulgent lessons, that is something you know you can count on me to provide.

PS After Sue reviewed my comments, she feels my requests for more info and background from you isn't such a concern. That makes the vote to use my suggestions to puff you up more, and to explain more,  one to one.  It looks like your vote is the tie-breaker.

PPS Don't let any local musicians know I can read, OK?
