TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE: “Body of Proof”
finale, 10 p.m., ABC.

ABC pulled a big surprise by not
renewing “Body of Proof.” That came in a week when the show
almost made the top 20: It was 21^st out of 110 shows; it
topped one renewed ABC show by 40 percent.

TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE: “The
Bachelorette,” 8-10:01 p.m., ABC.

Accustomed to her childhood apartment,
Desiree Hartsock found herself temporarily in hillside splendor in
Malibu, preparing to meet 25 guys. “I feel like I'm at the top of
the world,” she says here, “and men are at my feet.”

She wants to match her parents'
long-lasting marriage “and design my own wedding dress.”

TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE: “Smash” finale,
9-11 p.m., NBC.

Try to remember that “Smash” has,
at times, wonderful. The songs for ”Bombshell” (its Marilyn
Monroe musical) were beautifully written and superbly sung by
Katharine McPhee and Megan Hilty.

Then came the bad soap-opera twists and
a change in show-runner, followed by worse twists. Still, this finale
– The Tony awards hold the future for “Bombshell” and “Hit
List” – could be worth catching.

TONIGHT'S MIGHT-SEE: “Body of Proof,”
10 p.m., ABC.

ABC surprised people by deciding not to
bring “Body” back next season. This is a show with adequate
scripts, likable stars, decent ratings … and case-of-the-week
stories that rerun easily.

For now, we'll hope a rumored deal
brings new episodes to cable. Also, we'll catch reruns – tonight
and in the regular Tuesday spot.

TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE: “Live From
Lincoln Center,” 9 p.m., PBS (check local listings).

Audra McDonald, 42, is one of those
talents who can soar anywhere.

On Broadway, she's received seven Tony
nominations, winning five times – three in musicals, two in plays.
On TV, she's starred in “Private Practice,” the “Raisin in the
Sun” remake and more.
