1) “Deliverance” (1972), 8 p.m. ET, Turner Classic Movies, or “I Am Burt Reynolds” (2021), 8 p.m., CW. One channel has Reynolds’ best film (shown here), the compelling story of a river trip gone bad. Another has an excellent biography: Reynolds went to college to play football and meet women. After an injury, he detoured and became No. 1 at the box office.
2) “Saturday Night Live,” 11:29 p.m., NBC. Alexandeer Scarsgard has his first turn as host, with Cardi B as the music guest. That wraps up a three-week stretch of new “SNL” episodes; for the next three Saturdays, NBC will obsess on the Winter Olympics.
3) “Kingdom,” 8 p.m., BBC America. Springtime in Zambia finds pups at play, rivers surging and the grass so thick it’s hard to find prey. This quickly finds joy, including the first moments of a giraffe’s life. But the second half of the brilliantly filmed hour — perfectly narrated by David Attenborough, 99 — also finds fierce violence and tragedy.
4) “Tempted 2 Love,” 8 p.m., Lifetime. “Tempted By Love” (which reruns at 6) found romance with a top chef (Garcelle Beauvais, 59) and her driver (Vaughn Hebron, 35), Now she has a new love (Boris Kodjoe, 52) … but bumps into her young ex. These are produced by author Terry McMillan, as are “Preach, Pray, Love” and “His, Hers & Ours,” at 6 and 10.
5) ALSO: At 8 p.m., there are reruns of “The Wall” on NBC and the “Harlan Coben’s Final Twist” opener (a fascinating true-crime story with some gullible folks online). Also, Hallmark has the new “Missing the Boat,” with two strangers scrambling to get back to their tour boat.
