1) “Next Level Chef,” 8 p.m, Fox. Here’s the fun bunch — eight social-media chefs, fighting for five spots. They range from 27 to 56, from a female body-builder to a guy (shown here) who announced during an online broadcast that he’s “fat and hungover,” from an at-home dad to Andy Allo, the female lead in the “Upload” streaming series. The result is filled with fun moments.
2) Winter Olympics preview, 8 p.m., NBC. The opening ceremony is Friday (2 p.m. ET, rerunning at 8), but no one’s waiting for that. Tonight, NBC has its preview; on Friday, the first figure-skating rounds start at 4 a.m. ET (yes, 4) on the USA Network.
3) NFL Honors, 9-11 p.m., NBC. Three days before the Super Bowl, Jon Hamm hosts this awards night. Nominated for Most Valuable Player are running back Christian McCaffrey and quarterbacks Josh Allen, Trevor Lawrence, Drake Maye and Matthew Stafford. There’s much more, including top defensive player and the Hall of Fame.
4) “9-1-1,” 8-11 p.m., ABC. Facing NBC’s sports blitz, ABC will retreat into reruns for a while. Here are two hours from November — first, a jack-o’-lantern fire, then a case that reminds Athena of her past pain. Also, there’s one from early January, with Hen trying to hide her medical crisis.
5) LIGHTER SIDE: CBS’ reruns start with “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage”(including some moving moments, when a pregancy test is found) and ends with a fairly good “Elsbeth” (a misused “safe room”). In between, Fox has new episodes of “Animal Control” and “Going Dutch” at 9 and 9:30.
