1) “Best Medicine,” 8 p.m., Fox. For the second straight week, the town has a big, bizarre festival. Last week’s blueberry fest was awash in blue; now a “Blood Factory” event is all-red. That’s trouble for the doctor, who’s allergic to blood … and (shown here) trouble for the participants. “Best” has become the opposite of the show it’s based on. “Doc Martin” was droll, dry and clever; this is just amiably goofy.
2) “Will Trent,” 8 p.m., ABC. Here’s another new, scripted hour, in a week stuffed with reruns. Probing a chilling suburban murder, Will and Faith try to outsmart a meticulous killer. That’s followed by a “High Potential” rerun, with the mid-air murder of an Air Force veteran.
3) “John and Carolyn: Love, Beauty and Loss,” 10 p.m., ABC. Here’s the complicated relationship between John Kennedy Jr. and his wife, Carolyn Bessette, who died with him in a plane crash. Its title reflects two miniseries on FX and Hulu — a Wednesday one about the obsession with beauty and a Thursday one on Kennedy and Bessette.
4) Women’s figure skating, 12:30 p.m. ET, USA Network, then 2:40-5 p.m., NBC. Each Winter Olympics, this is a huge draw for American viewers. Now the short program is today and the long is Thursday, plus the no-rules skating gala Saturday. Skaters include Alysa Liu and Amber Glenn, both part of the U.S.’ gold-medal team win.
5) More Olympics. The USA Network goes all day (including hockey at 12:15, 3:10 and 8 p.m. ET) … CNBC is 5-8 p.m. … and NBC is noon to 5, including snowboard and ski finals at 12:45 and 1:30 p.m. Then NBC repackages it all, from 8-11 p.m.
