1) “NAACP Image Awards,” 8 p.m., BET, CBS, MTV, VH1, CMT, TV Land, Comedy Central, more; repeating at 10 on BET. Deon Cole hosts, Viola Davis gets a lifetime honor and there are awards for movies, TV and music. Nominated for best movie are “Sinners” (shown here), “Wicked: For Good,” “Sarah’s Oil,” “Highest 2 Lowest” and “One of Them Days.”
2) “Saturday Night Live” return, 11:29 p.m., NBC. After a three-week Olympic break, “SNL” starts a string of three new episodes. Tonight, Connor Storrie (“Hidden Rivalry”) hosts, with music from Mumford & Sons. The next two shows are hosted by Ryan Gosling and Harry Styles.
3) “I Am Joe Frazier” (2025). 8-10 p.m., CW. The son of a South Carolina sharecropper, Frazier was the Olympic heavyweight boxing champion in 1964. As a pro, his only losses were to two other gold-medalist, Muhammad Ali and George Foreman. But he also was the first person to beat Ali and was the undisputed champion for two years. 4) “Kingdom,” 8-9:10 p.m., BBC America. Wrapping up a splendid, six-week nature series, this looks at the making of the films and at the conservationists who keep South Luangwa natural. It wraps up a marathon (starting at 6 a.m.) of superb nature films; many are narrated by David Attenborough, now 99, whose “Parenthood” series concludes Wednesday on PBS.
5) Movies. You can catch some clever Disney cartoons — “Encanto,” 7 p.m. on the Disney Channel; the “Ralph” films at 7:15 and 9:20 on Freeform. Or try the cowboy marathon on Turner Classic Movies, led by “Stagecoach” at 12:15 p.m. ET and “Shane” at 8.
