1) “Marshals” debut, 8 p.m., CBS. As “Yellowstone” finished, Kayce Dutton gave his family’s mega-ranch to his wife’s tribe; he was at peace. Now his world has been upended; he needs a new life — and a former SEAL buddy, now a U.S. marshal, needs help. There are some strong action moments, including (shown here) trouble during a speech and protest. This sequel is way too thick with its macho dialog, but gives us sturdy people to care about.
2) “Tracker,” 9 p.m., CBS. After a 10-week break, TV’s most-watched drama is set to finish the season with a dozen new episodes. That starts big: Colter (Justin Hartley) is injured, framed for murders and stalked by an assassin. Cut off from Reenie and Randy, he turn to his ex-lover Billie (Sofia Pernas); it’s the show’s fourth guest role for Pernas, Hartley’s real-life wife.
3) “Dark Winds,” 9 p.m., AMC, rerunning at 10:08. After two terrific episodes, this falters a bit. For no particular reason (except to create a story twist), Joe told Bernsdette that she’s his designated successor … but said to keep it a secret from Chee. Now the secret is out. Add two more plot twists, late in the hour, and a great show becomes merely a good one.
4) “Family Guy,” 8 and 9:30 p.m., Fox. The night starts with Meg befriending a pro-football great and ends with Peter learning a key lesson: Be careful whose name you shout out while having sex.
5) “West Side Story” (1961), 8 p.m. ET, Turner Classic Movies. One of the all-time great musicals ripples with the work of composer Leonard Bernstein and lyricist Stephen Sondheim. It’s in an all-musical day, including “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers” (1959) at 6 and “All That Jazz” (1979) at 10:45.
