1) “Saturday Night Live,” 11:29 p.m., NBC. After taking a break from music for almost three years, Harry Styles (shown here) is back big-time. He has a new album and a Netflix concert special; now here’s his second turn as host and music guest at “SNL,” which is wrapping a three-week stretch of new episodes.
2) “Tootsie” (1982), 8 p.m. ET, Turner Classic Movies. On the eve of the Academy Awards, TCM features great comedies. This one (a best-picture nominee) is preceded by Woody Allen’s “Annie Hall” (1977) at 12:15 p.m., “Lover Come Back” (1962) at 2, Mel Brooks’ “The Producers” (1967) at 4 and “The Fortune Cookie” (1966) at 5:45.
3) More laughs. This is a comedy-overload day. FXX starts a “Simpsons” marathon at 10 a.m.; Comedy Central has the “Hangover” films at 5:30, 7:30 and 10. And VH1 has the comedy-drama mix of “Forrest Gump” (1994) at 8.
4) “Dolly Parton: Here I Am” (2019), 8-10 p.m., CW. At 80, Parton remains an eternally busy star. This documentary used footage from performances and from past interviews, plus fresh comments from Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Mac Davis, the Lady A singers, former manager Sandy Gallin and more.
5) Sports. The World Baseball Classic is at 3 p.m. ET on Fox Sports1 and 9 on Fox. There’s Paralympics at 8 on NBC and lots of basketball — pros (Nuggets-Lakers) at 8:30 on ABC, college tourney championships at 6 on CBS (Mountain West) and ESPN (Big 12); 6:30 on Fox (Big East); 8 on ESPN2 (MAC) and 8:30 on ESPN (Atlantic Coast Conference).
