1) “NCIS” 500th episode, 8 p.m., CBS. Yes, 500 episodes. That’ s below “The Simpsons”(805) and the “Law & Order” shows (588 and 538), but it’s 499 above “Turn-on,” “South of Sunset” and others. This episode (shown here) has concocted a way to get everyone involved: A Marine’s son is desperate for help; the fractured team links for an off-the-books operation.
2) “Doc,” 9 p.m., Fox. In “The Sopranos,” Tony took his daughter on a trip to see a college she might attend; he multi-tasked by killing someone. Now this offers almost the opposite: Taking their daughter to college orientation, Amy and her ex-husband end up with a harrowing attempt to save a life.
3) “Best Medicine,” 8 p.m., Fox. After a one-week baseball break, this amiable show and “Doc” are back. In this one, Martin is again trying to shut down the town, this time to avoid a plague outbreak. Also, the town gossip is talking about his relationship with Louisa.
4) “Will Trent,” 8 p.m., ABC. A famous conductor has been killed; also, Will worries about his uncle, who’s missing. That’s followed by “High Potential” (Morgan needs the help of some old friends) and RJ Decker, with RJ finding himself in the middle of a suburban-housewife murder mystery.
5) MORE: “Daredevil: Born Again” starts its season on Disney+, with an evil mayor (Vincent D’Onofrio) claiming our hero is the villain. And at 8 p.m., HBO reruns the season-opener of “The Comeback”; Valerie (Lisa Kudrow) learns who (or what) writes her scripts. That follows “Judy” (2019) at 6, with Renee Zellweger’s Oscar-winning work as Judy Garland.
