1) “Sheriff Country” and “Fire Country” return, 8 and 9 p.m., CBS. Back from a two-week basketball break, these have a big-deal crossover: A mysterious school-bus explosion (shown here) leaves nine students missing; the sheriff and the firefighters investigate. In the second hour, Bode and Nathan try a desperate rescue.
2) “Boston Blue,” 10 p.m., CBS. Two esteemed, veteran actors are featured: A drive-by shooting at a church draws attention to a colleague of Rev. Peters (Ernie Hudson, 80), Lena’s grandfather. Also, Danny’s grandfather (Len Cariou, 86) visits.
3) “Martha Graham Dance Company: We Are Our Time” finale, 9-10:30 p.m., PBS. Like the first half of this terrific documentary, this mixes the past and present, with samples of great dance numbers. The focus is on touring and on the everyday strains on these gifted dancers. Especially stunning is a montage of people recalling their injuries.
4) Biblical epics. UPtv’s Good Friday marathon has “The Greatest Story Ever Told” (1965) at 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. ET and “Mary, Mother of Jesus” (1999) at 2 p.m. and midnight. The channel called Movies has “Jesus of Nazareth” at noon and “Moses the Lawgiver” from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m.. Also, BYUtv concludes “The Messiah” at 1 p.m. ET.
5) MORE: “Happy’s Place” (8 p.m., NBC) has a sub-par episode with guest star Cheri Otari. Turner Classic Movies profiles micro-budget master Roger Corman at 8 p.m. ET, following it with five of his films. And at 7 and 9:30 p.m. ET, ESPN has the college women’s basketball semi-finals.
