1) Musicals. Amid a day of biblical films, Turner Classic Movies pauses for “Easter Parade” (1948), at 8 p.m. ET; the film has little to do with Easter, but does have Judy Garland, Fred Astaire and great Irving Berlin songs, Also, the Oscar-winning “Sound of Music” (shown here) is 6:45 p.m. on Freeform and 8:10 and 11:16 p.m. on BYUtv.
2) “The Faithful: Women of the Bible,” 8-10 p.m., Fox. The three-movie series wraps with a tale of feuding sisters, Leah and Rachel. That’s on a busy Easter that starts with “Jesus: His Life,” from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., on History. Story TV has “Biography” films on Mary (8 a.m. and 4 p.m.) and Jesus (2-4 p.m., 10 p.m.); BYUtv has “The Chosen,” at 6 and 7:05 p.m. ET.
3) Biblical epics. “Ben-Hur” (1956), winner of 11 Oscars, is at noon ET on Turner Classic Movies, at 12:30 and 8 on the channel called Movies and 3 on Family Movie Classics. TMC also has “The Silver Chalice” (1954) at 3:45 p.m. ET and “King of Kings” (1961) at 10; Movies has Richard Burton in “The Robe” (1959), at 6 a.m. and 5:05 p.m.
4) “Dark Winds” season-finale, 9 p.m., AMC; also at 11:41. For more than half the episode, “Winds” descends into grotesque turf. Joe struggles in captivity; viewers will find it a chore to watch. Then, belatedly, this returns to its original form — a beautifully crafted drama about people with a quiet passion for each other and for Navajo life.
5) MORE: ABC has the college women’s basketball championship game at 3:30 p.m. ET and “America’s Funniest Home Videos” hours at 7 and 8. At 9, CBS’ “Tracker” has Colter searching for Randy’s friend. Also at 9 is a terrific “Forsytes” on PBS: With news surfacing of his illegitimate twins, Jo faces trouble at home and work, while his teen step-daughter samples new life.
