1) “Asco: Without Permission,” 10 p.m., PBS. In 1970, four Chicano teens (shown here a few years later) began guerrilla art in Los Angeles. They did parades, performances, graffiti, more. They called their group Asco, expanded it, then folded it in ’87, for separate careers. Now their early work is in the art galleries they mocked. It’s a great story, told with a few unneeded detours.
2) “Africa Earth’s Wild Home,” 8-11 p.m., National Geographic, then Hulu and Disney+. Brilliantly filmed, this offers stunning scenes. A hyena wades into a moving mass of pink flamingos … A cheetah tries a daring dash down a rocky mountain … A turtle struggles to get to the water … An immensely ugly frog goes courting. And all of that is in the first hour.
3) “Kill Jackie,” AMC+. From the first moments — an elevator attack using an empty candy jar — this ripples with wit, intelligence and, alas, violence. Catherine Zeta-Jones is perfect as an art dealer, pulled back to her old, messy life. All eight episodes are available; it’s a wild and entertaining ride.
4) “Tip Toe” opener, 9:05 p.m., Starz. Nowadays, people mostly think of Alan Cumming as the Emmy-winning “Traitors” host. But he turns dead-serious here, in a story of neighbors whose feud goes viral. That’s in an all-new night, surrounded by spin-offs of “Outlander” and “Swat,” at 8:05 and 10.
5) ALSO: At 7 p.m., the digital MeTV has “The Wizard of Oz.” At 8, ABC opens the “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” season. At 9, PBS has the Hispanic Heritage Awards. And from 8-11 p.m., CBS the season-finales of “Sheriff Country,” “Fire Country” and “Boston Blue,” setting up next week’s openers.
