This website was down for a week, while getting its fancy reboot. During that time, the Capital City Film festival was booming ahead. But here are two notes:

1) If you happen to be reading this in the Lansing, Mich., area on Easter Sunday, there’s still time. For a schedule of the final day, go to www.capitalcityfilmfest.com.

2) And I wanted to briefly mention two films that have already been there. “Guest Artist” is a marvel. Jeff Daniels wrote a smart and passionate look at two theater guys — then starred with newcomer Thomas Macias. Tim Busfield directed beautifully, getting perfect performances from both. (They’re shown here.) And “You Go To My Head” is a happy surprise. Filmed in the Sahara, with a story as slow as a desert day, it emerges as a quietly involving and slowly sensual film.
