1) Baseball All-Star game, 8 p.m. ET, Fox. The American League has the heavy hitters: Going into the weekend before the game, Cal Raleigh (shown here) and Aaron Judge led with 36 and 34 home runs. The National League has the No. 3 guy (Shohei Ohtani, with 31). This could be tough for star pitchers, led by American’s Tarik Skubal and National’s Paul Skenes.
2) “Bachelor in Paradise,” 8-10 p.m., ABC. Shelving its police-show reruns for a week, ABC has logical counter-programming to baseball: It’s an extra night of “Paradise” (usually just Mondays), with love and lust.
3) “Renaissance: The Blood and the Beauty,” 9 p.m., PBS. This is the mid-section of a lushly filmed, three-week documentary. The feud between the masters — the gregarious da Vinci and the quieter Michelangelo — peaks, complicated when the Pope gives them side-by-side projects. Raphael has also arrived, becoming a papal favorite.
4) “Beauty and the Beast” (1991), 7:05 p.m., Freeform. Three of Disney’s all-time best cartoons are back-to-back. It’s “Up” (2009), at 5 p.m. and “The Little Mermaid (1989) at 9:05, surrounding this gem, which won two Oscars for its music and was nominated for best picture.
5) “NCIS: Sydney,” 10 p.m., CBS. This reruns the season-finale, with a killer on the loose, bearing a Stinger missile. It follows reruns of “NCIS” (an attack on the home of a high-level defense contractor) and “NCIS: Origins” (the death of a Marine commander’s son),
