1) “Billy Joel: And So It Goes” (2025), 8-10:27 p.m., HBO, rerunning at 11:30. It’s been a big career for Joel (shown here), with 160 million records sold, from the basic “Uptown Girl” to the complex “We Didn’t Start the Fire.” And a big life, with four marriages and lots of Madison Square Garden” sell-outs. Susan Lacy, the “American Masters” founder, co-directed this film.
2) “The Fixer” debut, 8-10 p.m., Fox. Now that ABC has moved “Shark Tank” to Wednesdays, Fox tries another business-oriented show here. Marcus Lemonis, the CEO of Camping World, fixed troubled businesses on CNBC’s “The Profit”; he does that here, starting with a husband-wife fitness studio and a shop for car accessories and audio.
3) “Totally Funny Animals” and “Totally Funny Kids,” 9 and 9:30 p.m., CW Vin Di Bona launched “America’s Funniest Home Videos” 36 years ago and has made various funny-animal clip shows. Now he tries again, adding a second show with funny-kid clips.
4) “Fire Country,” 9 p.m., CBS. It’s time for the county’s rivalry baseball game. Naturally, there’s a fire in the dugout; that sort of thing happens here. It’s a rerun, surrounded by two “NCIS: Sydney” reruns.
5) “Resident Alien,” 10 p.m., USA and Syfy. Last week, this oft-hilarious show turned surprisingly serious. The mayor and his wife got their baby back and Harry got his alien powers back — but his evil father is in charge. Now, amid daddy issues, Harry must find and kill a Mantid.
