1) WNBA All-Star Game, 8:30 p.m. ET, ABC, pre-game at 8. For Indiana, already basketball-obsessed, this is big. It’s hosting the game for the first time and its star, Caitlin Clark (shown here), is the top vote-getter and a captain. Last year, as a rookie, she led the league in 3-pointers and assists. She’s missed half this year’s games with injuries, but is back now.
2) “Faith in the Flames: The Nichole Jolly Story,” 8 p.m., Lifetime. As a wildfire ripped through Paradise, Cal., in 2018, Jolly struggled. As a nurse, she saved others, while her own family was missing. Chrissy Metz (“This Is Us”) stars, her second film (after “Breakthrough”) reflecting her faith. It’s preceded at 6 by “Faith Under Fire: The Antoinette Tuff Story.”
3) “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” (2018), 5:35 p.m., Freeform. This drew general acclaim and the Academy Award for best animated feature. Its sequel — “Across the Spider-Verse” (2023) — was nominated for the same award; it airs at 8:15.
4) “Jaws@50,” 7-9 p.m., Nat Geo Wild. Here’s another chance to see this terrific documentary about the making of “Jaws” — which, conveniently, airs Sunday on CW and any time on Peacock. Also, on eve of Discovery’s “Shark Week,” Wild has sharks reruns all day, including ones with Bertie Gregory, Chris Hemsworth and Anthony Mackle, from 9 p.m. to midnight.
5) ALSO: Reruns at 8 p.m. include CBS’ “The Equalizer” (a boy disappears at a mall) and “The Wall” on NBC. Sports include baseball at 7:15 p.m. ET on Fox, beach volleyball at 8 p.m. on CW and gymnastics at 8 on CNBC.
