1) “Daredevil: Born Again,” 8-11 p.m., FX. Created by Stan Lee 61 years ago, this blind crimefighter still thrives. Ben Affleck played him in a 2003 movie; then Charlie Cox (shown her) took over. Cox starred in a Netflix series for three seasons and was briefly in a movie, a mini-series and three TV series. Then came this nine-hour series on Disney+; it now reaches FX.
2) “Renaissance: The Blood and the Beauty” finale, 9 p.m., PBS. The end of an era is shown through Michelangelo’s eyes. Working for leaders he sometimes opposed, he was praised, jailed, pardoned, praised anew. He lived to 88, outlasting rivals; his work has lived for five centuries. Beautifully filmed, this offers gorgeous art and ugly souls.
3) “High Potential” (8 p.m.) and “Will Trent” (9 and 10), ABC. After getting last week off, these reruns are back. First, Morgan probes the death of an exotic-animal veterinarian. Then Will faces espionage intrigue in one hour and, in the other hour, probes a murder that feels way too familiar.
4) “How to Survive a Shark Attack,” 9 p.m., Discovery. Paul De Gelder was a Navy diver in 2009, when a bull shark tore off his right hand and right leg. In this hour, part of “Shark Week,” he tries to demonstrate survival by provoking sharks to attack prosthetic limbs.
5) “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” (2005), 7:30 p.m., Syfy. Tim Burton’s masterful film remains an all-family classic. Also at 7:30 is Showtime’s “Gladiator” (2000) — a classic, but definitely not all-family. At 8 p.m. ET, Cher and Nicolas Cage star in the beautifully written and played “Moonstruck,” on Turner Classic Movies.
