1) “Barbie” (2023), 8 p.m., TBS; or “The Sound of Music” (1965), 8 p.m. ET, Turner Classic Movies. In one way, these are opposites: “Barbie” (shown here) reflects a joyous feminism; “Music,” set in 1940s Austria, doesn’t. But both offer vibrant visuals and music, plus appealing stars. Both drew Oscar nominations for best-picture, which “Sound of Music” won.
2) “Providence Falls” opener, 8-10 p.m., Hallmark. Katie Stevens, the former “Bold Type” star and “American Idol” contestant, plays an 1844 aristocrat who falls for a handsome thief. Alas, that fractures destiny; in this three-Saturday story, they leap to modern times, where they’re both cops.
3) Football Hall of Fame ceremony, 1 p.m., NFL Network. Four players are enshrined — cornerback Eric Allen, defensive end Jared Allen, tight end Antonio Gates and wide receiver Sterling Sharpe … whose brother Shannon is already there. This reruns at 9 p.m., with the pre-season opener (Lions-Chargers) repeating at 6.
4) “FBI International,” 8 p.m., CBS. For Jesse Lee Sofer — who joined the final season of this show, after eight years on “Chicago P.D.” — this is an intense episode. He plays Wes, whose partner was killed. Now the prime witness has been killed in Budapest; the team flies there.
5) “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” (2005), 11:20 p.m., Freeform. Kids’ movies can pack quirky touches for grown-ups. Now Freeform starts with cartoons — “Hotel Transylvania” ones at 2:35 and 4:40 p.m., Monsters” ones at 6:45 and 8:50. Then it’s “Charlie,” a non-cartoon gem boosted by Johnny Depp, Danny Elfman’s music and Tim Burton’s visual whimsy.
