1) Classic films. For movie buffs, this is one of the best nights ever. It has films that are No. 2 (“The Godfather,” 1972, 7 p.m., Showtime) and No. 3 (“Casablanca,”1943, sown here, 10 p.m. ET, Turner Classic Movies) on the American Film Institute list, trailing only “Citizen Kane.” And at midnight ET, TCM has “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington” (1939), listed at No. 26.
2) More movies. BBC America has baseball gems — “Moneyball” (2011) at 2 p.m. and “A League of Their Own” (1992) at 5. Freeform has “Wall-E” (2008) at 6:20. And MGM+ has multiple James Bonds — George Lazenby at 3:40; Sean Connery, 6:05; Pierce Brosnan, 8 and 10:10; Roger Moore, 12:30.
3) “The 1% Club,” 8 p.m., Fox. The questions seem wildly inconsistent — too easy one moment, near-impossible the next. But the hour is entertaining, thanks to host Joel McHale and fun contestants, including dueling frat brothers, a sexy husband and wife and a guy who insists he won’t win.
4) “High Potential,” 8 p.m., ABC. It’s take-your-daughter-to-work gone astray. On the day Morgan takes her daughter to the police station, everyone is held hostage. That rerun is followed by two from “Will Trent”; Will searches for a teen-ager and then faces a harsh review board.
5) ALSO: Now that “Destination X” has finished, NBC fills the 10 p.m. slot (after “America’s Got Talent”) with a “Survival Mode” rerun, focusing on the Maui wildfires. And CBS has reruns of the three “NCIS” shows. At 10, “NCIS: Sydney” joins a TV trend, casting doubts on “wellness” retreats.
