1) “A Grammy Salute to Earth, Wind & Fire: The 21at Night of September,” 8-10 p.m. ET, CBS. With its vibrant blend of pop, jazz, R&B and more, EWF (shown here) has had seven top-10 singles; one asks: “Do you remember the 21st night of September?” Now, on Sept. 21, we get EWF, Stevie Wonder, Janelle Monae, Jon Batiste, the Jonas Brothers and the London Philharmonic.
2) “99 to Beat,” 8 p.m. ET, Fox. For Fox games, 100 is the prime number. There are 100 contestants in “The Floor” and “1% Club” and now here. In an arena (watched by Erin Andrews and Ken Jeong), they try basic games and tasks. Each time, the last person is ousted, until a lone winner gets $1 million.
3) Fox season preview, 9 p.m., Fox. There’s not a lot to preview, actually. Fox only has two new shows and one (“Celebrity Weakest Link” on Mondays) is basically 25 years old. Last season, Fox debuted the terrific “Murder in a Small Town” and “Doc”; now they’re on Tuesdays, Fox’s only scripted shows.
4) “The Unforgotten,” 10 p.m., PBS. A week from its compelling conclusion, this show still abounds with people who might have killed a lout who was a cruel husband, father, lover, employer and landlord. Compelling cases build on all sides. That’s preceded by an OK “Professor T” at 8 p.m. and the first half of a solid “Marlow Murder Club” at 9.
5) “The Happiest Story on Earth: 70 Years of Disneyland,” 8:01-10 p.m., ABC. Well, Disneyland is quite a happy place, actually. But we’re not sure ABC (owned by Disney) can give us the most even-handed overview.
