Best-bets for Nov. 15: Glen, Paul and football

1) “Saturday Night Live,” 11:29 p.m., NBC. Glen Powell hosts, with his career in overdrive. 2) More Powell. He’s Jake “Hangman” Seresin in “Top Gun: Mavberick” (2022), at 5:30 and 10:10 p.m. on the Paramount Network — which has the original “Top Gun” (1986) at 3:03 and 8:35. Also, the first “Back to the Future” films are at 3 and 5:30 p.m. on AMC, rerunning at 8 and 10:30.

3) Football. ABC has three straight match-ups of nationally ranked teams. It’s Notre Dame (No. 9) and Pittsburgh (No. 22) at noon ET, Oklahoma (No. 11) and Alabama (No. 4) at 3:30 and Texas (No. 10) and Georgia (No. 5) at 7:30. Also at 7:30, top-ranked Ohio State faces UCLA on NBC.,

4) “I Am Paul Walker” (2018), 8-10 p.m., CW. The son of a model and a Golden Gloves boxing champion, Walker was ideal for action films. He was doing his seventh “Fast and Furious” when he died at 40, after a friend’s speeding car spun out of control. Wal;ker studied marine biology and worked on a shark-research ship for National Geographic. Here’ s a profile.

5) “Watson,” 9 p.m., CBS. This reruns the season-opener, with the return of Sherlock Holmes, who was presumed dead. Also, Mary’s mother, with a fast-moving dementia, has poisoned herself. That follows an “FBI” from last season, with jurors in a high-stakes Mafia case gunned down.
