1) “Frozen” (2013) and “Frozen II (2019),” 6 and 8:25 p.m., Freeform. These animated gems (SHOWN HERE) lead an extraordinary night of movies. It ranges from the 1946 Christmas classic “It’s a Wonderful Life” (8 p.m., USA) to the 2025 terror of “Sinners” (6:40 p.m., HBO). Also at 8, MGM+ has “Big” (1989) and Showtime has “The Godfather” (1972).
2) More Christmas. “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” reruns from 8-9:15 p.m. on NBC, overlapping “The Great Christmas Lights Fight,” at 9 and 10 on ABC. Also at 10, NBC reruns Jimmy Fallon’s holiday special. The 8 p.m. movies include “A Grand Ole Opry Christmas” on Hallmark and Vince Vaughn as “Fred Claus” on AMC,
3) “Year in Review,” 9:15 to 10 p.m., NBC. Well, not the whole year. This skips the messy parts –raids, firings, government shutdown and such — and sticks to show business, with Mario Lopez and Kit Hoover (both of “Access Hollywood”) hosting. A 60-minute version will air Dec. 17.
4) “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage,” 8 p.m., CBS. There’s a downside to having your mom as an eager babysitter: Tonight, she does some discipline without Mandy and Georgie’s approval. That’s followed by a “Ghosts” that, among other things, reveals Alberta’s secret … and her original name.
5) “Matlock,” 9 p.m., CBS. In its final new episode until Feb. 26, the show will pack in some cliffhangers and secrets — including a key one from Sarah, the young lawyer working with Matty and Olympia. That’s followed by “Elsbeth,” which will have a new hour next week; tonight, Jaime Pressly plays a former supermodel, intent on revenge.
