Two events — celebrating Christina Aguilera’s career and the late Rob Reiner’s early years — have been added to TV’s busy, pre-Christmas stretch.
They are:
— “Christina Aguilera: Christmas in Paris,” 9-10 p.m. Monday (Dec. 22) on CBS. With the Eiffel Tower in the background, Aguilera (shownhere in a previous concert) sings holiday classics and her past hits, joined by Yesult and by Sheila E; she’ll also talk about her life. That follows another recently added special — “Everybody Loves Raymond: 30th Anniversary Reunion Pt. 2,” at 8 p.m.
— Reiner’s key “All in the Family” episodes, from 8-10 p.m. Sunday (Dec. 21), on MeTV.
The channel — variously available via digital channels or cable — regularly has “All In the Family” episodes from 8-10 p.m. Sundays. This week, it’s doubling that and focusing on key episodes for Mike Stivic, played by Reiner, who died Sunday:
6 p.m.: Exam stress leads to impotence.
6:30: Mike has a $275 inheritance. Archie Bunker (his father-in-law) expects it to go for rent; instead, it goes to George McGovern’s presidential campaign.
7: Emergency appendectomy with a female surgeon.
7:30: A group therapy board game.
8: College graduation; Archie assumes that means Mike’s moving out.
8:30: Two obsessions — Mike eating, Archie smoking cigars — duel.
9: Mike is attracted to a woman he’s tutoring.
9:30: Locked in a storage room, Mike and Archie have a long talk.
