2) “The Wall” season-opener, 9 p.m., NBC. In its mid-season line-up, NBC has somehow put opposites back-to-back. The quiet brilliance of Zachary Quinto in “Brilliant Minds” is preceded by lots of screaming about sheer chance. You’ll like these contestants, but not the constant and repetitious efforts to tug at our hearts.

3) “Will Trent,” 8-11 p.m., ABC. For way too long, ABC has kept two good shows — “Will Trent” and “The Rookie” — on the shelf. Now they’ll open their seasons at 8 and 10 p.m. Tuesday. First, here are last season’s final three episodes, culminating in terrorists’ biological attack.

4) “My Life is Murder” season-opener, www.acorn.tv. Packing the likability of its stars (Lucy Lawless, Ebony Vagulans ) anD it’s gorgeous, New Zealand settings, this sometimes gets away with poorly constructed mysterIES. Oddly, it now starts the season with one. don’t worry; the next two are better.

5) ALSO: For comedy fans, the good news is that CBS has four “DMV” reruns, from 8-10 p.m; the 9 and 9:30 ones have clever surprises. And the bad news? NBC has given up on the sometimes-terrific “The Paper”; it threw the final three episodes into a vacant spot Saturday and is rerunning “Stumble” at 8:30 Mondays, starting with its fairly good pilot.
