1) “Stumble,” 8:30 p.m., NBC. This cheer-team comedy has been inconsistent, but with some big-laugh moments. Now its best episode involves a mandatory sex-relations lecture (shown here), complete with role-play, an ancient VCR machine and a semi-ancient lecturer. The result is hilarious.

2) “Happy’s Place,” 8 p.m., NBC. This is sometimes a pleasant show … and sometimes (including tonight) goes overboard. It’s willing to turn almost any character into a fool, for the sake of a cheap laugh. Now mild-mannered Steve transforms, after getting a chance to do a commercial.

3) “Sheriff Country,” 9 p.m., CBS. Nudging back an hour (with “Hollywood Squares” at 8), this reruns an hour that finds fierce violence among the people legally growing cannabis. “Boston Blue” slides to 10 p.m., giving “Fire Country” a week off. Tonight, a robbery-gone-bad turns personal.

4) “The Rip,” Netflix. Here’s the eighth major film (in a 28-year span) linking Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. This time, they’re cops who are distrustful after a pile of cash is found. That wraps up a strong streaming week that debuted “Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials” on Netflix, “Ponies” on Peacock and “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy” on Paramount+.

5) MORE: While watching a cheer-team comedy on “Stumble,” you can try the real thing: “Pro Cheer League” is 8-10 p.m. on Ion. Also, movies include the fun-but-frantic “Smurfs” (arriving today on Amazon Prime), the first two “Star Wars” films (6 and 9 p.m., AMC) and “Cinema Paradiso,” at 8 p.m. ET on Turner Classic Movies.
