It’s the fourth Super Bowl for the Seahawks, eyeing their second win; they edged the Rams, 31-27.

2) Winter Olympics. The games begin, even before the opening ceremony. Friday. that’s on USA from 4 a.m. to 2 p.m. ET, plus figure-skating on NBC, noon to 2 p.m. On Saturday, NBC has live events from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET, then repackages them from 8-11. USA has coverage all day Saturday and Sunday (when NBC has football); CNBC is 5-11 p.m. both days.

3) “Nova: Can Dogs Talk?” 9 p.m. Wednesday, PBS. They can, sort of. Given a wide array of buttons, they can step on the one that says a specific thing (a toy) or a request (a walk, a meal) or even a concept. Scientists were skeptical about this, setting up careful tests. The results are fun to watch; so are the dogs (seeming delighted by the process) and their people.

4) “Super Bowl’s Greatest Commercials,” 8 p.m. today, CBS. It’s the 25th year for this fun hour, which now has a live bit: Near the end, viewers can choose one spot to join the “Mean Joe Greene” and “1984” commercials in a “hall of fame.” Nate Burleson and Daniela Ruah host; also scheduled, “NFL Honors,” from 9-11 p.m. Thursday on NBC.

5) “The Turpins: A New House of Horror,” 10 p.m. Tuesday, ABC. At 17, Jordan Turpin escaped and told police about abuse of her 12 siblings, as young as 2. The parents were sentenced to life in prison. Eight years later, the younger kids tell Diane Sawyer about more, including foster-care failures. Also Tuesday: another true-crime story, at 8 p.m. on CBS.

6) “Nature” and “Kingdom,” 8 p.m. Wednesday (PBS) and Saturday (BBC America). Both are beautifully filmed, with wise narration from David Attenborough, 99. For “Nature,” it’s the start of a delightful, five-part look at animal parenthood. For “Kingdom,” it’s the third of six parts, viewing the competition (sometimes violent) for turf in Zambia.

7) “Next Level Chef,” 8 p.m. Thursday, Fox. This is the fun bunch — eight social-media chefs, fighting for five spots. They range from 27 to 56, from a female body-builder to a guy who announced online he’s “fat and hungover,” from an at-home dad to Andy Allo, the female lead in the “Upload” series. It’s a zesty hour, followed by the always-fun “Animal Control.”

8) Olympic opening ceremony, Friday, NBC. We can expect lots of flash and color, as more than 3,500 athletes from 93 countries reach Milan and Contina d’Ampezzo, nestled into the Italian Alps. And we can expect plenty of chances to see it: That will be shown live from 2-5 p.m. ET, then rerun at 8 p.m. and (after Jimmy Fallon) at 12:38 a.m.

9) Super Bowl fuss, Sunday. NBC sticks with the Olympics from 7 a.m. to noon ET and after the game. In between? “Road to the Super Bowl” is noon, with the pre-game show at 1. We move to the field at 6, for music by Charlie Puth (National Anthem), Brandi Carlile (“America the Beautiful”), Coco Jones (“Lift Every Voice and Sing”) and Bad Bunny (halftime).

10) “Miss Scarlet.” 8 p.m. Sunday, PBS. The season has pointed toward this terrific episode. We’ve seen the romance between a young police detective and a charming secretary; we’ve also seen Eliza nab a crime kingpin. Now that blends together for a jailhouse siege. It’s followed by fairly good episodes of “All Creatures Great and Small” and “Bookish.”
