1) “The Voice” finale, NBC. Trimmed to half its usual length, this wraps abruptly. Today (9-11 p.m.), we hear Liv Ciara, 16; Mikenley Brown, 19; Lucas West (shown here), 20; Syd Millevoi, 23; J.W. Griffin, 25; Alexia Jayy, 31; Jared Shoemaker, 32; K.J. Willis, 35; and Jeremy Keith, 40. On Tuesday, there’s a recap at 8 p.m. and the final four, from 9-11.
2) “The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins” season-finale, 8 and 8:30 p.m., today, NBC. This show has been uneven, but — at times –,hilarious. That continues in this two-parter, as Reggie obsesses on getting Hall of Fame votes. There are great moments in the final minutes of the first episode and parts of the second, plus key stories for the supporting players.
3) NBA playoffs opener, 8:30 p.m., ET Saturday, ABC. Here’s why some shows are leaving early: Pro basketball will gobble large chunks of prime time. First, the “play-in” phase (Tuesday through Friday, Amazon Prime) fills the final spots. Then the playoffs begin — Saturdays on ABC, Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays on NBC, more on ESPN.
4) “The 1% Club” season-opener, 8 p.m. today, Fox. TV’s best game show is back. It starts with 100 people, most of them smart, some of them odd. Then it trims the field with increasingly difficult questions, while host Joel McHale has fun toying with contestants. At times, the questions are unclear; mostly, however, this opener offers non-stop fun.
5) “Wild Cards” season-finale, 8 p.m. today, CW. This started as a breezy show, with Max (Vanessa Morgan), a con artist, working with the police to con the bad guys. Lately, it’s taken a dark turn: The Varga crime syndicate has demanded a mega-million-dollar con stunt. Now Max is kidnapped; her colleagues combine for a final confrontation.
6) “Doc” season-finale, 8 and 9 p.m. Tuesday, Fox. A terrific season ends with a high-stakes two-parter. A deadly virus is loose, forcing the hospital to quarantine the entire floor. As doctors scramble to identify the virus, Amy faces memory seizures. And when Richard — whose lies almost destroyed her career — is stricken, she puts herself in danger.
7) “MasterChef” season-opener, 8 p.m. Wednesday,, Fox. Somehow, the two best summer shows on the big-four networks are arriving early. That’s “1% Club” and this one: After nine minutes of noisy hype, it starts auditions for the first of four five-person teams. Americans will represent the food traditions of Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas,
8) “Scrubs” season-finale, 8 p.m., ABC. This revival finally brings Jordan Sullivan (Christa Miller) back. She’s been a hospital board member and Dr. Cox’s wife; they divorced … but resumed the relationship and lived together. Now she shows up during a chaotic day. That’s followed by date night on “Abbott Elementary,” which wraps its season next week.
9) “Ghosts,” 8:30 p.m. Thursday, CBS. At age 9, Iain Armitage became the “Young Sheldon” star. Now he’s back on TV, for the first time in two years. Sam uses ghosts to fleece gamblers … including Armitage, 17, playing himself. That follows “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage,” with Sheldon’s sister-in-law trying to salvage her reputation.
10) “Now Hear This,” 9 p.m. Friday, PBS. This beautifully crafted show visits the music masters. Last week was Brahms and European elegance; now it’s Scott Joplin and mid-America. We hear dazzling bits of ragtime and more — a 12-piece orchestra in Pennsylvania; a Black-themed opera in Chicago. Also on PBS, a strong “Forsytes” hour, at 9 p.m. Sunday.
