The only other exception is “Breaking the Deadlock” (9 p.m., PBS), which looks at election security.

2) “R.J. Decker,” 8 p.m., ABC. This reruns the second episode, carrying extra emotion for R.J.: The son of his late cellmate is accused of murder. That’s followed by “Will Trent” reruns, taking Will into an art-world conspiracy and a salsa-dance competition.

3) World Cup, noon ET, Fox. Lionel Messi and Argentina breezed through the first round, outscoring their three opponents 8-1. They had a closer call in the round-of-32, beating Cabo Verde, 3-2. Now they face Egypt for a spot in the quarter-finals; Messi has been leading all scorers with seven goals. That’s followed by Switzerland and Colombia at 4 p.m.

4) “MasterChef,” 8-10 p.m., Fox. The Fox people rarely get far from soccer these days: Today’s first rerun has a World Cup theme involving stadium food; the second, unrelated, involves eggs Benedict. All of this gets us ready for July 15, when “MasterChef” returns to new episodes.

5) “Sharkfest,” National Geographic Channel. Who knew that sharks had to fret about predators — or that we had to worry about it? But reruns look at several predators (7 p.m.) and orcas in particularl (8). Then a new hour at 9 probes attacks by giant crocodiles. That’s surrounded by another new hour (“Shark Island Showdown”) at 10, plus reruns all day.
