1) “Descendants: Wicked Wonderland,” 8 p.m., Disney Channel; repeats at 9:45. Four movies — each with upbeat songs and dazzling visuals — have centered on the offspring of Disney villains. The fourth introduced Red (the talented Kylie Cantrall); now — aided by Chloe (Malia Baker, shown here with Cantrell) — sge tries to rescue her mom (Rita Ora). Also, new character arrive, including one played by Awkwafina.
2) “Big Brother” (CBS) and “Celebrity Family Feud” (ABC), both 8-9 p.m. These two will now collide weekly. On CBS, it’s time for the first eviction; on ABC (which also has a new “Press Your Luck” at 9), musicians compete: It’s Sheila E vs. En Vogue, then Lisa Lisa vs. Taylor Dayne.
3) “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage,” 9 and 10 p.m., CBS. Summer is a good time to catch up with broadcast-TV’s best situation comedy. These reruns (not the ones originally scheduled) both have Georgie hoping to get on better terms with people, to help his tire business. Alas, Mandy still disagrees with Pastor Jeff and her mom disputes country-club rules.
4) “The Bear,” 9 p.m.,, FX. Think of this episode as an in-betweener. We’ve had the shock of the fierce storm and of staffers learning that Carmy will leave the restaurant. Now comes the wait, to see if diners will show up … or if too many will be there. Adding much-needed humor is the continued effort to buy “air rights” over the building.
5) MORE: “Project Runway” (9:30-11 p.m., Freeform) gives the designers a second chance to make a first impression. Also, there’s fun via reruns: CBS has “Ghosts” at 9:30 and 10:30; Fox has “The 1% Club” at 8 p.m. and a goofy “Best Medicine” (it’s blueberry-festival time) at 9.
