2) More Christmas. Freeform used to dominate the holiday; not any more. Tonight has new movies – the two mentioned next, plus “A Christmas Princess” (7 p.m., Ion) and “Christmas Chalet” (7 and 9 p.m. ET, UPtv) …. And cartoon reruns — “Santa Claus” is Comin’ to Town” at 8 on ABC, an “Ice Age” special at 8:30 on Fox … And competitions –“Holiday Wars” and “Holiday Gingerbread Showdown” at 9 and 10 on The Food Network … And the 1951 “Christmas Carol,” at 8 p.m. ET on Turner Classic Movies.

3) “Christmas Town” or “You Light Up My Christmas,” 8 p.m., Hallmark or Lifetime. What do child stars do when they grow up? Mostly, they make Christmas movies. Candace Cameron Bure (“Full House”) stars in the Hallmark film; leaving her big-city life, she’s detoured to a town where the holiday thrives. Kim Fields produces and stars in the Lifetime film, as someone returning to her hometown; her “Facts of Life” colleagues – Lisa Whelchel, Mindy Cohn and Nancy McKeon – have brief roles.

4) “Madame Secretary,” 10 p.m., CBS. We’re a week from the finish of a classy, six-and-a-half season drama. Elizabeth (Tea Leoni) is president now, but faces impeachment; she ponders a wish-list of the things to do while still in office. But there’s also the sort of crisis she saw as secretary of state: A military conflict overseas pushes countries to the edge of nuclear confrontation.

5) “Supergirl,” 9 p.m., CW. Next Sunday, this show will launch a crossover event – five CW shows on four nights, with the world (again) at peril. First, Supergirl faces off against Rama Khan, played by Mitch Pileggi of “X-Files.”
