1) “Saturday Night Live,” 11:29 p.m., NBC. The new season is only two weeks away and we can get in the mood with this rerun. Ryan Gosling hosted on March 7 (shown here), shortly before his “Project Hail Mary” opened to box office success. It was his fourth time hosting and the first for Gorillaz — which originally had “virtual” band members — as music guest.
2) Football, 7:30 p.m. ET, ABC. Last year, Texas was ranked No. 1 when it visited Ohio State and lost. Now the situation is reversed: Ohio State (ranked No. 1) visits Texas (ranked No. 3).
3) More football. Other 7:30 p.m. games include Iowa Texas Tech (ranked No., 13) at Oregon State on CBS and Iowa State at Iowa (No. 21) on NBC. The busy day starts at noon ET, when Michigan — which has newly fallen out of the top-25 — hosts Oklahoma (No. 11).
4) Movies. The first “Jurassic Park” films are at 5, 8 and 11 p.m. on AMC. Three excellent John Candy films — “Planes, Trains and Automobiles,” “The Great Outdoors” and “Uncle Buck” — are 2:30, 4:30 and 6:30 on Sundance. And HBO has the fun “Superman” at 5:47 p.m., with “Supergirl” — from the same producers, but mostly dark and grim — at 8..
5) ALSO: Six days before the second season starts, Starz reruns the entire first season of “Outlander: Blood of My Blood,” from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. And in a rarity, there are two competing auto-racing choices. CW has NASCAR at 7:30 p.m. ET, with a preview at 7; Fox has ARCA at 8.
