2) “Blue Bloods,” 10 p.m., CBS. Here’s the season-finale from 2021, with lives on the line. Joe Hill – the grandson of Police Commissioner Frank Reagan – has been working undercover. Now his cover may have been blown; the Reagans scramble to save him from being killed on duty, as his dad was.

3) “Despicable Me” (2017), 8-10 p.m., NBC. It’s animated-movie night, when even NBC (which rarely has movies) shows one. Steve Carell voices reformed villain Gru and his twin Dru, with Kristin Wiig as Gru’s wife Lucy and Trey Parker (co-creator of “South Park” and “The Book of Mormon”) as the evil former child star, Balthazar Bratt. Also tonight, Freeform has the gorgeous “Frozen” (2013) and “Frozen II” (2019), at 8:20 and 10:50.

4) “Mr. Monk’s Last Case,” Peacock. The “Monk” series was a delight, with Tony Shalhoub perfect as a brilliant detective, wary of germs and life. In each of the eight seasons, he drew an Emmy nomination for best actor in a comedy; in three of them, he won. Now, 14 years after the show ended, he’s back with this movie: The pandemic was hard on him and he hid from everyone, including his stepdaughter; now she begs him to take one personal case.

5) More streaming. Sam Esmail, who crafted the brilliant “Mr. Robot” series, is back with this movie, which links strangers as the world seems to crumble. It stars Julia Roberts, Ethan Hawke, Mahershala Ali, Kevin Bacon and more. Also: Amazon Prime has the animated “Merry Little Batman” … Hulu has the eight-part British crime series “Culprits” … and Roku has a Demi Lovato Christmas special.
