Best-bets for March 6: Raccoons (and people) are funny

1) “Animal Control” season-opener, 9 p.m., Fox. The network’s only comedy (cartoons excluded) is a good one, skillfully mixing sight gags and verbal humor. 2) “The Masked Singer” season-opener, 8 p.m., Fox. It’s been a spring surge for Fox, with season-openers Monday (“MasterChef Junior,” “So You Think You Can Dance”), Tuesday (“The Cleaning Lady,” “Alert”) and today. Rita Ora performs and steps in as judge, now that Nicole Scherzinger is doing a musical in London.

3) “Wild Cards,” 8 p.m., CW. Max (Vanessa Morgan) has been a delight, with a zest that people find both intriguing and bewildering. Now some bank robbers have the misfortune to have her as one of their hostages. Ellis sneaks in to help.

4) “Abbott Elementary,” 9-10 p.m., ABC. Just a month after launching its Wednesday comedies, ABC reruns all of them. There’s “The Conners.” “Not Dead Yet” (adding Brad Garrett as Lexi’s dad, the newspaper owner) and “Abbott” – a two-parter, with Janine planning a district-wide Career Day. Not to worry: “Abbott” will have a new episode after the Oscars, at about 10:30 p.m. Sunday.

5) MORE: “Survivor” wraps up its pair of two-hour episodes to start the season. Next week, it recedes to 90 minutes and “Amazing Race” starts its season. For now, a “So Help Me Todd” rerun is at 10. Also, “Family Guy” returns from a three-month break; it follows “Aniimal Control,” at 9:30 p.m. on Fox,
