1) “America’s Got Talent,” 8-10 p.m. Tuesday, NBC. The quarter-finals will sprawl over four Tuesdays, with 11 acts each time. This opener has five music acts (including Tom Sandoval, of “Vanderpump Rules” and Jessica Sanchez, shown here) and three dance acts — B Unique, LightWire and Loco Pop Familia — plus magic, a trapeze duo and comedian Shuler King.

2) “Unforgotten” season-opener, 10 p.m. Sunday, PBS. When a body is found in a marsh, suspects abound. There’s his widow (a troubled teacher), their daughter, his enemies at work and more, including Afghan refugees and an Albanian loan shark. This blends with one cop’s agony about her estranged husband and sister. It’s a tough, compelling six-parter.

3) Football. It’s the final week of pre-season games, before things get real on Sept. 4. There are 8 p.m. ET games today (Cincinnati-Washington, on ESPN), and Friday (Minnesota-Tennessee, on CBS). The NFL Network has games at 7 p.m. Thursday and 8 p.m. Friday, then wraps things up with four on Saturday, at 1, 4, 7 and 10 p.m.

4) “Lego Masters Jr.” debut, 8 p.m. today, Fox. Kids finally get to play with the toys. After five seasons with grown-ups, we get a four-episode tourney that puts each duo (ages 9-14) with a celebrity they sort of recognize. The talent is huge. So, alas, is the hype; it takes 10 minutes to get through the noisy start. After that, likable kids do great work.

5) “Are You My First?” On Hulu today, you can catch the 10-episode season; on ABC you merely get the first hour, at 10:02 p.m. The show claims to have “the largest, hottest group of virgins ever assembled,” each ready for a first time. Colton Underwood, who was a virgin during “The Bachelor” (and later came out as gay) hosts with Kaitlyn Bristowe.

6) “Songs & Stories with Kelly Clarkson,” 10 p.m. Tuesday, NBC. On her daytime show, Clarkson sometimes links with another singer for a segment of conversation and unplugged music. Now that’s being expanded into specials on four straight Tuesdays. It starts here with the Jonas Brothers; coming next are Gloria Estefan, Teddy Swims and then Lizzo.

7) “Elsbeth,” 10 p.m. Wednesday, CBS. This was one of the best episodes in a smart season: A video installation lets people in Manhattan commune with a tiny town in seaside Scotland. Elsbeth is soon drawn to a handsome Scottish musician (Ioan Gruffudd, who has portrayed Horatio Hornblower, Lancelot and Mr. Fantastic); from 3,000 miles away, he spots clues.

8) “Peacemaker” season-opener, Thursday, Max. James Gunn has perfected tales blending humor and sci-fi action. He wrote and directed the “Guardians of the Galaxy” films, “Superman” and (in 2022), the first”Peacemaker” season. Now (three-plus years later) we get a second; John Cena, another humor/action master, dives into alternate dimensions.

9) “The Marlow Murder Club” season-opener, 9 p.m. Sunday, PBS. This second season has three mysteries, each running two weeks. The opener has a rich man, his bride-to-be, an angry son and an ingenious murder scheme. Three women help the oft-reluctant police solve it. That’s preceded at 8 p.m. by the season-opener of “Professor T” mysteries.

10) MORE: The second “Rainmaker” hour, a good one, sees the law-school grad’s first day in court, against a big-time firm. That’s 10 p.m. Friday on USA; also Friday (9 p.m., PBS): “Islam’s Greatest Stories of Love.” A grad student visits five epic tales; the first three are gorgeously filmed, but told in a scattered way; the fourth, with Malcolm X, is involving.
