2) “Singin’ in the Rain” (1952), 8 p.m. ET, Turner Classic Movies. This gem is ranked No. 5 on the American Film Institute’s all-time list, easily the No. 1 musical. Gene Kelly starred and created great choreography, including Donald O’Connor’s brilliant “Make ’em Laugh.” More O’Connor musicals are at 8:30 and 10:15 a.m.; and 1:15, 6:30 and 11:45 p.m.

3) “The Thursday Murder Club,” Netflix. Chris Columbus has triumphed with youth-oriented movies, from “Home Alone” to the first two “Harry Potter” films. Now he goes the opposite way, directing a retirement-community mystery; Pierce Brosnon, Helen Mirren and Ben Kingsley star.

4) Joel McHale reruns. At 10:30 or 10 p.m., McHale competes with Roczi Diaz in ABC’s “S100,00 Pyramid.” At 9, he hosts Fox’s “1% Club”; it’s a fun hour, with one person saying (incorrectly) he was a kicker for University of Washington football. McHale, 6-foot-4, was a walk-on tight end, but it was a championship team and he didn’t get into games.

5) MORE: At 8 p.m., CBS has “Big Brother,” NBC reruns Tuesday’s “Songs & Stories With Kelly Clarkson” (with Gloria Estefan) and Fox reruns the barbecue episode of “MasterChef.” Also, ABC’s “Celebrity Family Feud” has reality-show women in one half-hour and pro football players in the other.
