1) Stellar Awards, 8 p.m., BET, rerunning at 10:30.Steeped in gospel tradition, this 40th ceremony is hosted by BeBe and CeCe Winans — whose dad co-hosted in 1988. CeCe (shown here), 60, has had 56 Stellar nominations and 21 wins. Still, there’s room for new generations: Pastor,Mike Jr., 42, is up for his fifth straight artist-of-the-year award.
2) “The Marlow Murder Club,” 9 p.m., PBS. This amiable show has three separate mysteries, each for two weeks. Now it wraps its opener, a good one. The body of a wealthy bridegroom was found alone in his study, crushed by a bookcase. An accident? Murder? It’s a smart tale, surrounded by “Professor T” and the ongoing (and compelling) “Unforgotten,” at 8 and 10,
3) Football, 7:30 p.m. ET, ABC. Next week, the pros will take over Sundays. For now, there’s room for this game, with Notre Dame (No. 6 in a pre-season poll) at Miami (No. 10). Earlier, South Carolina (No. 13) hosts Virginia Tech, at 3 p.m. on ESPN.
4) “Crossroad Springs” debut, 8 p.m., Great American Family. The pastor of a thriving Chicago church returns to his family’s ranch, where his dad is ailing and his sister (a doctor) strains to help. Some of his dialog feels like preacher cliches, but this is a handsome and well-meaning tale, with skilled actors in the leads, so-so ones in support.
5) “Nate Bergatze’s Nashville Christmas,” 9 p.m., CBS. This is a rerun — you probably guessed that — and a pretty good one. There’s music (including Carrie Underwood) and varied comedy. A nativity sketch is funny — but not as funny as a similar, Revolutionary War one he did on “Saturday Night Live.” An excellent “Tracker” (with a lost dog) follows at 10.
