1) “Survival Mode” finale, 10 p.m., NBC. In 2012, the Costa Concordia cruise ship diverted from its planned route and struck underwater rocks near Tuscany, partly sinking (shown here). An elaborate rescue began, using helicopters and boats. In all, 33 people died and the $600-million ship was ruined.
2) “Who Wants To Be a Millionaire?” 8-11 p.m., ABC. Most networks are skipping new episodes on this holiday night. So ABC nudges the “Bachelor in Paradise” finale to Tuesday. Instead, it has “Millionaire” reruns, includng (roughly 8:30-9:30 p.m.), popular ones with Ken Jennings and Matt Damon.
3) “Family Guy,” 7 a.m. to midnight, FXX. Apparently, we’re supposed to spend Labor Day watching cartoons. This marathon starts with five episodes from 2001 and ends with three from 2023. More cartoons? Freeform has the “Cars” trilogy at 3:25, 6 and 8:30; the Carttoon Network includes “Bob’s Burgers” from 6:30-9 p.m., then, yes, “Family Guy,” 9-11:30.
4) More marathons. The History Channel has “History’s Greatest Mysteries,” starting at 7 a.m. with Blackbeard’s treasure. Syfy has the final five Harry Potter films, at 9 a.m. and 12:30, 3:30, 7 and 10:04 p.m. National Geographic has globe-trutting foodies — “Gordon Ramsay Uncharted,” 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.,; and Stanley Tucci in Italy, 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.
5) ALSO: At 8 p.m., NBC’s “American Ninja Warrior” has a two-hour women’s competiton. At 9, CBS’ “FBI” reruns an hour with Sydney searching for the man who attempted to kidnap and sexually abuse her sister. At 10, PBS’ “POV” follows the lives of women who are long-haul truckers.
