1) “MasterChef,” 8 p.m., Fox. A week from the finale, four duos face a huge challenge — creating a dish simultaneously with Gordon Ramsay, while switching back and forth. It’s an “out-of-body, instinctive” task, one woman says. Adds another: “Too many pots, too many pans; you’re screaming at me.” It’s also a fiery experience (shown here), but in its own frantic way, it’s fun to watch.
2) “Family Law,” 8 p.m., CW. Problems are at both ends of life: Abby’s client can’t get her late husband’s ashes away from his homophobic sister; Daniel’s client, 18, is suing his mom for embarrassing photos of him she posted throughout his childhood.
3) “America’s Got Talent,” 8 p.m., NBC. It’s time for four more acts to advance to the semi-finals. Last week, singer Mama Duke went straight to the finals. (The Steve Ray Ladsen band had already been sent there.) Going to the semis were two more music acts — Bay Melnick Virgolino and the Leo High School choir — plus the Unreal dance group.
4) “Match Game,” 9 p.m., ABC. For the second time, host Martin Short has Selena Gomez (his co-star on “Only Murders in the Building,” which starts its season Tuesday) on the panel. Others are Cara Delevingne (a key guest star during one “Only Murders” season), JoelMcHale, Anthony Anderson, Annie Murphy and Thomas Lennon.
5) “Elsbeth,” 10 p.m., CBS. Elsbeth (Carrie Preston) tours a restaurant that was the site of a notorious murder. Naturally, she wants to revive the case. It’s a clever rerun, with a key guest role for Alyssa Milano and some more villain-behavior from Judge Crawford (Michael Emerson, Preston’s husband).
