1) “Highest 2 Lowest,” Apple TV+. With TV in its pre-season lull, streamers are bringing their top stuff. For this movie, Spike Lee directed Denzel Washington (shown hgere) in a remake of a Japanese crime classic. That follows Thursday’s terrific “The Paper” (Peacock) and “NCIS: Tony & Ziva” (Paramount+); coming Tuesday is Hulu’ “Only Murders in the Building.”
2) “The Rainmaker,” 10 p.m., USA. In a tough, taut episode, one nurse (a killer) has another (a whistleblower) captive. Other people are also grim: Rudy uses information his girlfriend — who works for the other side — accidentally told him. And his neighbor is confronted by her violent husband.
3) “Blue Bloods,” 10 p.m., CBS. We’re six weeks from the debut (a good one) of “Boston Blue,” with Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) leaving New York. First, key “Blue Bloods” episodes rerun. In this one from 2018, Danny joins Baez and two Russian operatives, searching for a dangerous Russian. And Frank has a sensitive case involving his friend, the archbishop.
4) “Big Brother: Unlocked,” 8 p.m., CBS. Here’s the fourth edition of the behind-the-scenes show that airs on alternate Fridays. It’s followed at 9 by a rerun of a “Fire Country” from early in the season, with Bode and Gabriela considering revealing their secret.
5) ALSO: Networks are temporarily juggling their Friday line-ups: ABC brings “Shark Tank” back to its old 8 p.m. slot. And NBC reruns “America’s Got Talent,” from 8-10 p.m. This one (with 11 acts performing) aired Tuesday; the results were announced the next night.
