2) Emmy red-carpet. CBS has its hour at 7 p.m., barring a football overrun, with Kevin Frazier and Nischelle Turner on the carpet. (That means another Sunday without “60 Minutes” and “Big Brother.”) The E channel tops that with a preview at 5, red-carpet at 6 and post-Emmy show at 11.

3) “Doc,” 8 p.m. ET, Fox. This was one of the best surprises of this past season — an extreme concept (a doctor with an eight-year memory gap) that was executed with subtle skill. Now it gets a post-football showcase, prior to airing Tuesdays, starting Sept. 23. In thius opener, an angry dad is desperate to get a heart-transplant for his daughter.

4) “Up North” finale, 9 and 9:30 p.m., Fox. It’s apparently the end for the series, which hasn’t been renewed. Russell’s cousin shows up at Moon’s sleepover, causing general chaos and dismay. And Beef (voiced by Nick Offerman) has a heroic mission\: Bring a roadkill moose back for the town.

5) Mysteries, 8-11 p.m., PBS. At 8, “Professor T” has a lushly filmed hour, with a plot that’s a bit of a stretch. At 9, “Marlow Murder Club” wraps a smart and complicated tale, complete with separate bodies at a cul de sac. And at 10, “Unforgotten” digs deeper into the troubled women surrounding the victim, including his widow and a right-wing commentator.
