Best-bets for Sept. 24: “AGT” leads a reality deluge

1) “America’s Got Talent” finale, 8-11 p.m., NBC. On Tuesday, the final 10 acts (including Jessica Sanchez, shown here in an earlier episode) got their last chance to impress us. Those performances will be recapped at 8 p.m.; then the next two hours have lots of guests and the 20th champion.

2) “The Floor” season-opener and “99 to Beat,” 8 and 9 p.m., Fox. A ratings hit its first season, “Floor” still has a key flaw: Early episodes have one-sided match-ups, in on person’s specialty. That’s painfully clear tonight … but it’s still better than the noisy mess of “99 to Beat,” with throngs in chaotic and poorly explained games.

3) More reality. Lots of season-openers collide. From 8-10 p.m., CBS has Survivor and ABC has the second “Golden Bachelor” — this time Mel Owens, a lawyer who spent nine seasons as a Los Angeles Rams linebacker.
At 10, CBS has “Big Brother” and ABC opens the “Shark Tank” season.

4) “Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent” debut, 8 p.m., CW. While other “L&O” shows took a just-the-facts approach, “Criminal Intent” spent time digging into suspects’ minds. Now it’s back, in a sharp Canadian version, starting with a high-dealing Crypto guy. At 9 is a rerun of one of the lesser episodes (drag-racing) of the oft-excellent “Wild Cards.”

5) Movies. There are dandy comedies across the age range: “Animal House” (1978), 8 p.m. on Showtime, has youthful mayhem; “Best Exotic Marigold Hotel” (2011), 9 p.m., HBO, has the droll wit of Judi Dench, Maggie Smith and other oldsters. Or catch “Sex and the Single Girl” (1964), 8 p.m. ET on Turner Classic Movies, co-written by Joseph Heller, the “Catch 22” author.
