1) “Doc,” 9 p.m., Fox. Yes, TV is stuffed with Ozempic ads, forever hinting at weight-loss benefits. But here’s a smart and neatly calibrated story: One doctor hates the notion of eagerly prescribing these pills; another (Amy, shown here in a previous episode) is hesitant. Alongside that, we see patients at opposite extremes. There’s another good patient story and some so-so doctor ones.
2) “Murder in a Small Town,” 8 p.m., Fox. Two stories, seemingly unrelated, merge in a powerful way. One has a fatal fight; the other involves a school bully. With one exception — an absurd moment when a police guard leaves his post — it’s another excellent hour.
3) Lowdown,” 9 p.m. Tuesday, FX. Graham Greene, who died last month at 73, had a brilliant career. He does great work here, as someone drifting in and out of dementia while providing key information. This excellent episode (the sixth of eight) is the first in which writer-producer Sterlin Harjo strongly uses his own native roots.
4) Basketball, 7:30 and 10 p.m. ET, NBC. In a changing world, networks focus less on scripted shows and more on sports, games and reality. So Tuesday — NBC’s past home for “A-Team,” “Frasier” and “This Is Us” — goes to pro basketball. The current champs (Thunder) host the Rockets; then it’s two frequent champs, the Warriors and the Lakers.
5) “NCIS,” 8 p.m., CBS. This wraps a two-part season-opener. Parker (Gary Cole), pursuing the person who killed his father, puts people in danger. Also, his sister (Nancy Travis), a vice admiral, faces an impossible choice.
