1) “Anyone But You” (2023), 8 p.m., FX, rerunning at 10. Here’s a romantic comedy that gets it all right — clever plot (borrowing from Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing”), sharp direction and skilled stars (Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney, shown here). They have a great meet-cute and an arbitrary break-up, then keep bickering back toward love.
2) “Nova,” 9 p.m., PBS. Flying above Arabian deserts, planes and drones have found thousands of stone formations. Do they represent religion? Art? Survival? Researchers are finding interesting answers.
3) “Secrets of the Dead,” 10 p.m., PBS. Mary Stuart became queen of Scotland at six days and was widowed (from the king of France) at 18. She returned home and, reigned for six years — then spent her final 20 years in confinement. This fascinating film looks at her secret messages and the modern codebreakers who cracked the toughest ones.
4) “Where the Boys Are,” 8 p.m. ET Turner Classic Movies. Heading to Florida for spring break are four college girls — giddy (Yvette Mimieux), acerbic (Paula Prentiss), sweet (Dolores Hart, who became a nun in real life) and kinda regular (Connie Francis, who sang the soaring theme song). The result deftly mixes sunshine, romance and melodramatic shock.
5) MORE: On the light side, “Shifting Gears” (8 p.m., ABC) had Riley trying dating apps; “Abbott Elementary” (8:30, ABC) has game night at Gregory’s place. On the serious side, “Chicago P.D.” (10 p.m., NBC) has a string of violent robberies throughout the city.
