2) “Superman” (2025), 8 p.m., HBO. James Gunn has mastered the elusive art of making humor-spiced action films. He did that with the “Guardians of the Galaxy” movies, the “Peacemaker” streaming series and now this one. David Corenswet stars, neatly aided by Rachel Brosnahan, Nathan Fillion and more, including a charming, special-effects dog.

3) “9-1-1.” 8 p.m., ABC. Athena’s life is a series of disasters — for others and for her. Recently widowed, she reluctantly accepted Hen’s invitation for a space ride. Then the geostorm hit; now people scramble to get them back to Earth. That’s followed by “9-1-1: Nashville” (a child in a trailer, hanging off a bridge) and “Grey’s Anatomy” (a lung transplant).

4) “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage,” 8 p.m., CBS. Last week’s terrific season-opener set the tone: At work, co-owners Georgie and Ruben agree on nothing; at home, Mandy’s dad flounders with retirement. Now comes an extra twist: Mandy’s new TV popularity stirs Georgie’s jealousy.

5) “Nobody Wants This” new season, Netflix. The first season drew Emmy nominations for best series and for both stars, Kristen Bell and Adam Brody. Now they try to navigate their mismatched romance. That comes a day after Amazon Prime starts “Lazarus,” a six-part drama written by Harlan Coben.
