1) World Series, 8 p.m. ET, Fox, with pre-game at 7. The Toronto Blue Jays (shown here) hosted the first two games. Now the best-of-seven series move to Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles for games today, Tuesday and (if needed) Wednesday. If needed, it returns to Toronto on Friday and Saturday. Today’s game collides with football on ABC, with the Commanders (3-4) and Chiefs (4-3).
2) “Kissinger,” 9-10:30 p.m., PBS, concluding Tuesday. In the first half of this compelling portrait, we will quickly find ourselves liking Henry Kissinger. As a Jewish kid in Germany, we’re told, he was a fun-loving guy and only a casual student. After his family left, just before the Holocaust, he transformed into the Harvard grad and foreign-affairs expert. In Tuesday’s conclusion, the story turns much darker.
3) “TV We Love,” 8 p.m., CW. Twice, ABC aired pilots for “The Love Boat,” then rejected it as a series. The third time had new actors, well-known (Gavin MacLeod) and not (Lauren Tewes, 22, who auditioned the day before filming). This time, it worked. Critics hated “Love Boat,” but it lasted nine years, two of them in the top-10. It’s a fun story.
4) “DMV,” 8:30 p.m., CBS. Three stories entwine, two of them lame (bad photos, excessive water-drinking) and one bringing big laughs. Colette is the driving examiner for Noa … who, alas, is not a good driver. That leads to a double-entendre gag that is a little bit crude and mostly hilarious.
5) “Brilliant Minds,” 10 p.m., NBC. Leading up to Halloween (on Friday), some shows have special episodes — including this one, with goings-on at the hospital. Also fitting the week — “It” at 7:45 p.m. on IFC, its prequel at 8 on HBO … “The Sixth Season” at 8 on FX and 9 on HBO … “Zombies 3” at 8 on Disney … “An American Werewolf in London” at 9 on BBC America.
