2) “Murder in a Small Town,” 8 p.m., Fox. The gorgeous, Northwest setting also brings danger; this hour starts with reports of a bear mauling a body. That sets up a grim and complex story, which is only partly saved by the likability of the main people.

3) “Doc,” 9 p.m., Fox. Now for a really dark hour. Amy crabs at her daughter … Sonya crabs at everyone (including a guy with a dying mom) … and the board-members crab (again) at Michael. The chaplain is pleasant — but he faces a life-threatening illness.

4) “Dancing With the Stars” and “Step Into … The Movies,” 8 and 10 p.m., ABC. First, there’s dancing to Rock & Roll Hall of Fame music. Then comes a 2022 special from two “Stars” people — Julianne Hough and her brother Derek. They re-create movie moments with others, including Derek’s now-wife Hayley Erbert and singer Ariana DeBose.

5) “NCIS: Origins,” 9 p.m., CBS. Philip Winchester — who has been a star of “Strike Back,” “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” and more — arrives as Franks’ estranged brother. After hitting bottom, he’s looking for help. Also, the team probes the robbery of a Navy bank. And Lala, recovering from her fierce car crash, makes a decision about her future.
