1) “Wicked: One Wonderful Night,” 8-10 p.m., NBC. The second “Wicked” movie is still two weeks away, but here’s a special. The Dolby Theatre becomes an Emerald City set, where a 37-piece orchestra backs Ariana Grande (shown here), Cynthia Erivo, Bowen Yang, Michelle Yeoh and more. There are also interviews, dance numbers and film clips.
2) “Elsbeth,” 10 p.m., CBS. The arts need more funding, we’re reminded here. But maybe that should just be well-crafted art. William Jackson Harper (“The Good Place”) plays a poetry-journal editor, willing to do anything for financial support. The best moments come when awful bits are recited.
3) “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage,” 8 p.m., CBS. Struggling to keep their shop going, Georgie and Ruben face the guy who tried to buy them out. They resort to tough tactics … and Mandy gets suspicious of Georgie’s lies.
4) “Hell’s Kitchen,” 8 p.m., Fox. When the chefs are greeted by a mariachi band, they know something is up. They’re soon creating Mexican-themed meals. That’s followed by “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.” There are eight survivors (out of 18), including Shawn East, an Olympic gymnast, and her husband, former pro football player Andrew East.
5) “9-1-1,” 8 p.m., ABC. So you thought we were finally done with Halloween? Tonight, the crew responds to a jack-o-lantern emergency. Also, MGM+ has the “Scream” movies at 8 and 9:55 … while Hallmark and others are busy with Christmas films.
