1) “The Golden Bachelor” finale, 8-10 p.m., ABC. In pro football, Mel Owens was a 6-foot-2, 220-pound linebacker. He was a starter for six of his nine seasons and an honorable-mention All-Pro. Now he’s a lawyer, 66, choosing between two retirees: Cindy Cullers (shown here, center), 60, was a biomedical engineer; Peg Munson (ri8ght), 62, was a firefighter and a bomb tech.
2) “Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent,” 8 p.m., CW. Some acronyms are tossed around here. There’s EI (employment insurance in Canada) and BDS (bondage, discipline, sadism). It is, as you might have guessed, a nasty (but well-made) story. There’s a radio star, a struggling folk singer (great work from Sydney Meyer) and more.
3) “Nova,” 9 p.m., PBS. Here’s the second half of a compelling look at the International Space Station, and at life-threatening crises and improvised solutions. That’s followed by “Secrets of the Dead” and a cheery window-washer who has what may be a rare painting of William Shakespeare.
4) “The Floor,” 8 p.m., Fox. The hour starts with one person holding 43 of the 100 spaces and an imposing category. Some battles — in categories like summer camps or marching bands. — are fun, Others will do nothing for you, unless you’re into fruit trees or box-office flops.
5) Movies. Two of the masters have great films here. It’s Steven Spielberg’s “Saving Private Ryan” (8 p.m., Showtime) and Alfred Hitchcock’s “North by Northwest” (8 p.m. ET, Turner Classic Movies). Also at 8, HBO has Celine Song’s “Materialists,” a smart triangle (Dakota Johnson, Pedro Pascal, Chris Evans) against lush Manhattan backdrops.
