2) Football, ESPN. Even before the parade ends, the college-championship games begin. It’s the Orange Bowl (Oregon-Texas Tech) at noon ET, the Rose Bowl (Alabama-Indiana) at 4 p.m. and Sugar Bowl (Mississippi-Georgia) at 8. The winners (plus the winner of Wednesday’s Miami-Ohio State game) collide in the semi-finals, Jan. 8-9.

3) Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Here are highlights from a night that had music by Stevie Wonder, Olivia Rodrigo, Brandi Carlile, Doja Cat, Elton John, Bryan Adams and some of the inductees — Cyndi Lauper, Soundgarden, Salt-N-Pepa and Jack White of White Stripes. Also inducted: Joe Cocker, Chubby Checker, Bad Company and more.

4) “Great Performances,” 8 p.m., PBS, rerunning at 9:30. Here’s a different music genre. It’s the Vienna Philharmonic’s annual New Year’s Day concert, including the Vienna City Ballet. Hugh Bonneville hosts for PBS.

5) ALSO: It’s a good rerun night on CBS. That includes the season-openers of “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage” (the tire-shop owners keep disagreeing) and “Matlock” (doubts about Alfie’s biological father). Also: “Ghosts” at 8:30 and a clever “Elsbeth” (Julia Fox as a “grief influencer”) at 10.
