1) “Saturday Night Live,” 11:29 p.m., NBC. On the day after his epic “Odyssey” (shown here)_ reaches movie theaters, here’s Matt Damon with fewer battle scars. He hosts this rerun, with music by Noah Kohan.
2) World Cup and more. France and England, perpetual enemies in previous centuries (and in the American revolution) battle for third place. That’s 5 p.m. ET on Fox, which has pre-game and post-game shows at 4 and 7, then switches to baseball at 8. For basketball, CBS has the WNBA (Liberty-Fever) at 8; ESPN has the NBA’s summer league from 5 to 11.
3) “The Rookie,” 8-11 p.m., ABC. Celina is key to two of the reruns. At 8, she tries to break a bad-luck curse that seems to be following Miles; at 10, she probes a robbery with Nolan. In the 9 p.m. hour, Harper and Lucy go undercover in Baja, where two young women have been killed.
4) Steven Spielberg surge. It’s a good day to catch Hollywood’s greatest filmmaker. At 6 p.m., E has the breezy “Catch Me If You Can” (2002)l at 7, AMC has “Jaws” (1975). Also, Freeform has Indiana Jones films, including ‘”Temple of Doom” (1984), 1:45 p.m.; “Last Crusade” (1989), 4:25; and “Dial of Destiny” (2023) AT 10:30.
